🔥🤍 Pothos ‘Manjula’ / Epipremnum aureum ‘Manjula’ 🤍🔥
Also known as: Manjula Pothos, Happy Leaf Pothos
A stunning variegated cultivar developed at the University of Florida, Pothos ‘Manjula’ is prized for its broad, heart-shaped leaves swirled with cream, silver, light green, and dark green. No two leaves are alike — some display bold splashes, others delicate marbling — giving this plant a painterly, one-of-a-kind look. Its slightly wavy leaf edges add to the charm, setting it apart from other pothos varieties.
💡 Care Tips:
☀️ Light – Bright, indirect light brings out the strongest variegation. Can tolerate medium light, but leaves may revert to greener tones. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which can scorch the variegated areas.
💧 Water – Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Prefers evenly moist, well-draining soil but is more tolerant of drying out than sitting soggy.
🌡️ Humidity – Thrives in average to moderately high humidity. Best in temps of 65–85°F (18–29°C).
🌱 Growth – Moderate grower. Trails beautifully or climbs when supported. Pruning helps maintain bushiness and prevents legginess. When supported by a moss pole leaves can reach 10 inches wide or more!
📊 Difficulty: Easy to Intermediate (forgiving but needs proper light to maintain vivid variegation).
🐾 Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested. Contains calcium oxalate crystals that may irritate the mouth, throat, and stomach. All pets are unique and reactions may vary in symptoms and severity.
🌟 Collector’s Tip:
Because variegated sections lack chlorophyll, vines with mostly white leaves may weaken over time. Trim back highly variegated shoots to encourage stronger, balanced growth. Rotate regularly for even exposure and fuller foliage.
