This tropical beauty catches every eye with its dark green leaves, vibrant red veins in a herringbone pattern, and lighter green patches — undersides often have purple or reddish tints. It also folds up its leaves at night (“praying hands”) and opens them in the morning — a nightly performance that reminds you this plant came alive.

💡 Care Tips:

☀️ Light – Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves or wash out the red in the veins. Too little light will dull its coloring.
💧 Water – Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry. Use filtered, distilled, or rested water if your tap is very hard or heavily chlorinated. Reduce watering slightly in the winter.
