🌫️💎 Alocasia nebula ‘Imperialis’ 💎🌫️
(pronounced “uh-loh-KAY-zee-uh NEH-byoo-luh im-PEER-ee-ah-lis”)
Also known as Alocasia ‘Silver Nebula’ in some collections.

Mysterious, metallic, and mesmerizing, Alocasia nebula ‘Imperialis’ is a true gem among jewel Alocasias. Its broad, velvety leaves shimmer with smoky blue-silver tones, framed by dark charcoal-green veining that gives it an almost cosmic allure. As the leaves mature, they develop a subtle iridescence—catching light like brushed metal—and a softly quilted texture that feels otherworldly. Compact but commanding, this variety brings an enchanting depth to any aroid collection.

💡 Care Tips:
☀️ Light – Bright, filtered light; protect from direct sun which can dull the silvery sheen.💧 Water – Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. Consistency is important to Alocasia.

This plant will be shipped to you in our homemade semi-hydro set up! (Sphagnum Moss, pumice, orchid bark & biochar for anti-compaction/aeration, fungal mitigation above a LECA-clay balls- water reservoir).

🌡️ Humidity – Prefers high humidity (60–80%). Dry air can lead to browning edges. Best in temps of 65–85°F (18–29°C).
🌱 Growth – Creeping (not climbing) philodendron with a rhizomatous growth habit. Mature leaves can grow over 18 inches wide indoors with proper care. Slow to moderate grower.

📊 Difficulty: Intermediate (forgiving once settled but sensitive to neglect or inconsistent conditions).

🐾 Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested. Contains calcium oxalate crystals which can irritate the mouth, throat, and stomach. All pets are unique and reactions may vary in symptoms and severity.

🌟 Collector’s Tip:
‘Nebula Imperialis’ is a cultivar of Alocasia nebula, a species native to Borneo. It does not occur naturally in the wild in this exact form; the striking patterning was selected by tropical plant breeders.

True ‘Imperialis’ forms are rare in cultivation because it’s slow-growing and propagation requires careful tissue culture or division, making it a high-value collector plant.

Growers choice-Photos may not depict the exact plant you will receive; colors and size may vary. You will receive the healthiest and best-looking plant from your size selection.
